For this activity, you should look through the TEKS and find a science topic that is covered in your preferred grade level. Ideally, you would find a topic that is covered across multiple grade levels. Once you pick a topic, your task is to make a list (title and author) of as many trade books as possible that would be appropriate to read to your class during read-aloud time. These books should be able to be a springboard for other activities (writing, speaking, listening, etc.) and should NOT be expository in nature. Your product here should be a one-page handout that lists the topic you chose as well as the list of titles/authors. Each title is worth 2 points. In order to receive all 20 points for this assignment, you would need to have 10 books listed. However, this is a minimum number. You and your classmates will benefit from as many titles as you can find.
One person per topic.
